NYC Puerto Rican Day Parade

NYC Puerto Rican Day Parade

Looks like sun, fun and beautiful people dancing to the tropical sounds and beats of several genres of music in New York City. In the past this carnival parade has attracted many celebrities with or without Puerto Rico roots not just across America but worldwide. Who would want to ignore a day in the sun with beautiful women, men, good food, booze and dancing to salsa and more?

The 2017 NYC Puerto Rican Parade also attracted political drama: According to ABC news Oscar Lopez Rivera a National Freedom Hero a fervent nationalist who spent decades in prison for his involvement with a group responsible for a string of bombings in the 1970s and ’80s was booed and cheered yet got to ride on a float. Oscar Lopez Rivera was honoured as a National Hero creating controversy and a cloud over the carnival parade yet this has not stopped people smiling, dancing and having fun in the NYC sun.
